Y2 BROWSERS
and how we believe the internet will work
to your advantage.
1. The internet is accessed by an isp whose job is to do just that, as well as provide other services as add ons. Normally they have some form of data base, either their own, or one that they can receive information from (other search engines, urls, services posted for general use by others etc). It is to be remembered that search engines are now search phrase specific, example : heat exchangers gaskets and heat exchanger gaskets will find different companies /services who are listed under these terms, we have several urls and though they look different, they contain the same information, and have been posted with other search engines. This is to show that you can surf in many different data bases and find different services.
2. When an end user purchases a computer or operating system they will find an Internet access program already installed. By simple logic the companies who sell the operating system can therefore send business to whom they like, in most cases their own data based server for which the end user says thank you for eliminating the effort to do so themselves or because they do not know the alternatives.
3. The problem for the end user is that when their server slows down, for many reasons including heavy traffic or even regional shut down, the end user will find it very frustrating. As they do not know what is going on they will simply disconnect and come back later or will disconnect and reconnect straight away or will be disconnected by the service provider if the problem is at that end. Computers, as we all know, have their little quirks and the end user suspects that the problem is at their end, which may not be so. The additional cost for reconnection must be taken into account.
4. Searching the internet within a region is now becoming more difficult as search engines will only supply information if the business, gov.org /private /others are actually entered on their databases or they have access to others for this type of business. This inclusion is an extra cost business could do without but as a business themselves, the search engines do not do this for nothing, therefore the best must be available to the end user. In the very near future many of the old web pages will vanish, which is a good thing, as the internet has many millions of unused pages. Remember links are very important. It is wise to remember the internet is a machine/robot and will not discriminate. If a site is posted then it must be refreshed at least once a month as the unused, unvisited, linked sites will simply be put in a dat folder and sent to no-otherland.
5. Remember that the isp is only a connection to the Internet, and to solve the problem is very simple. Install another browser but care must be taken to install the other browser that has its origin / base in another region. A different country is best as the chances of their server or region experiencing the same difficulties is unlikely.
6. Make sure that the browser to be downloaded is from a secure database. If a new computer is purchased and installed, then the retailer will install the extra browser free of charge before delivery. Remember these browsers are free to the end user.
7. Once the other browser is installed simply add it to the desktop as a stand alone icon.
8. Now that you have two browsers installed simply close down one browser and open the other (recommended). It is a good idea to use both browsers regularly and be sure to add your favorite sites to each, as there is nothing more frustrating than having to find a site that is used on the other browser. This is about the only thing the end user will have to do manually as the two browsers do not talk to each other.
9. Another reason why two browsers should be installed. As it appears the internet will eventually be broken up into clear search domains and as 'click for inclusion' will gather pace in the business sector, followed by go, private, general good guys etc, therefore the end user should be able to search the internet and access as many services as possible; after all that's the reason why so many businesses and services come onboard.
10. The association between browsers /databases /search engines is another matter and this document is not going there. It is felt that at least the end user will be going in the right direction.
